Exclusive Designs with Points

Recently Brenda from DITZ BITZ suggested a new way to get kits by sharing. We have not yet had a chance to work out the details of how this would work because Brenda has a pc crash, and just got back online a day ago...

I have however, implemented a new incentive system to get our members more active and reward them for their activity and participation on the network using the point system, which has gone virtually unused until now.

Some of you may have noticed, or been alerted that you received a points donation. This has gone out to all members, even those of you who have not yet posted your first post here after joining. The points each of you have received today, are based on both your activity, and/or your position on the site, so some of you may have gotten even more extra points for being very active, or a mad, or a CT, etc...

These points will now be used to purchase kits and or exclusives on this website. These won't be just any old freebies, these, at least from me, will be exclusive, or some of my CU or Resale kits which can be bought with points just for members of the DSC network website.

Other members, such as Brenda or one of the Creative Team may want to offer you some exclusive kits also, for either participating in one of their challenges or contests here, for instance, and the winner could receive a boatload of points, or whatever she likes, as an example. Also, any DSC member is encouraged to offer an exclusive kit if they like, either to help promote their own art and work, or simply to help support the cafe with a kit to help activity rise.

Either way, I will be offering the first kit (or 2) in the next few days, I have been working on some specials this week.

HOW TO GET POINTS

The first, and easiest way to get points here is to simply be active. Every time you post anywhere on the site, you get points. Believe me they add up fast if you are active. You also get 5 points a day just for being an active member, whether you log in or not. You get 5 points for every friend you accept on the forum, and points for every profile message you post or receive.....

Some threads get you more points than others, for example if you start a tutorial in the common section of WRITTEN & VIDEO TUTS you will receive 30 points, as opposed to the general 3 you would normally get.

All newbies who actually go to the Introduce your self! in Members Only and post an intro will now receive 30 points.

You will be able to buy kits or graphics using points that will cost anywhere from say 1000 points (really easy to come by) to 20,000 points, or ???, who knows. I am even thinking of adding a donation feature to the site so members can actually buy points if they don't want to wait...

Below here is a breakdown so far..... These will most likely change for the benefit of all as we go, but this is just a start.

Points will also be adjusted here so that you will receive more points for any activity you create due to website activities, such as tags, contests, or general modding of the forums when needed.

I will be adjusting these soon after the member points system has been finished, sometime this coming week.

I will add the adjustment here when I am done. Possibly another incentive to be on the creative team or staff at DSC.
